Krigeren slås mod egne moralske dilemmaer, da han slutter sig til en gruppe forbrydere for at infiltrere ondskabens højborg. I mere end 4 årtier har rollespilfans over hele verden spillet Dungeons & Dragons. Nu udkommer endnu en film i serien og fantasy-genren forbliver populær blandt eventyrlystne fans i alle aldre.
